The Munich transport Logistic Fair 2009 opened ceremonially on May 12 in Munich, Germany. CILW Overseas Delegation headed by Mr. Wang Derong, Executive Deputy President of CCTA and Mr. Ni Wei, Vice Secretary General of CCTA attended the trade fair. The mission of the trip is to establish connection with more overseas logistic enterprises and develop long-term partnership with some key customers.
Except for the exhibition booth promotion of CILW2009, the delegation also held a promotion meeting on May 13. The promotion meeting attracted not only journalists from U.S. Japan, Russia, Germany, France, Greek, Singapore but also representatives of some main European ports. Mr. Meng Fanzhuang, consular of the General Consulate of China in Munich, participated in the meeting. Mr. Wang Derong made a welcome speech introducing the prosperously developing logistics industry in China. Mr. Ni Wei made a powerful promotion by delivering a presentation with the subject of “Knock the door of Fortune, Explore business opportunities in China” The promotion meeting closed in free communication.
Mr. Wang Derong and Mr. Ni Wei also made over 10 business visits to logistics associations, ports and enterprises. They met with Dr. Thomas Wimmer, the Chairman of German Logistics Association and invited him to the CILW2009. They also talked with Mr. Luc Arnouts, Chief Commercial Officer of the Antwerp Port Authority, Mr. Bengt van Beuningen, the Director of Port of Hamburg Marketing Regd, and Mr. Stefan Matz, Director of HWF Hamburg Business Development Corporation. Through the business visits and talks, the overseas customers got further understanding of China’s logistics industry and CILW2009.
Another important meaning of the Munich trip was the launch of Logistics Inspection Tour, one of the core events of CILW, which made Munich the first overseas inspected city. The 5-day trip is the first time the CILW debut in the overseas leading fair. Such communication is of great significance in international promotion of CILW. The CILW organizing committee believes in that CILW will be a global platform for enterprises and cities to make corporation and competition.
